TRAILER TRUCK OPERATOR

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience operating trailer trucks, articulated vehicles, or similar heavy vehicles.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • Previous experience in construction, heavy equipment, or Oil & Gas projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safe heavy vehicle operation, load handling, and basic vehicle inspection procedures.
  • Able to follow safety regulations, project instructions, and transportation procedures.
  • Responsible, alert, and safety-conscious while operating heavy vehicles.
  • Must have complete and updated employment and travel documents.
  • Able to work in demanding project environments and follow assigned schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate trailer trucks and articulated vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Transport construction materials, equipment, machinery, and other assigned loads to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
  • Check tires, brakes, lights, fluids, coupling systems, and other essential vehicle components.
  • Properly connect, secure, and inspect trailers and loads before transportation.
  • Follow designated routes, project schedules, traffic regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Safely maneuver and park large vehicles in construction sites, project areas, and loading or unloading zones.
  • Coordinate with site personnel, dispatchers, mechanics, and other workers regarding transportation requirements.
  • Report vehicle defects, mechanical issues, accidents, delays, or other concerns promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
  • Complete required trip, delivery, inspection, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
