Otani Co., Ltd is offering an overseas work opportunity in Japan for qualified Filipino welders under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, cutting, fitting, and welding metal structures and equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and workplace safety standards.
WELDER (TITP)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
- Must be a Filipino applicant.
- Must possess a VALID PASSPORT.
- Must have a latest PSA Birth Certificate.
- Previous experience in welding, metal fabrication, structural welding, or related work is preferred.
- Knowledge of different welding techniques and processes.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal materials accurately.
- Knowledge of proper welding equipment and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Physically capable of performing welding and metal fabrication tasks.
- Willingness to learn Japanese workplace practices and technical procedures.
- Willingness to work in Japan under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, components, and equipment through various welding processes.
- Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal materials for welding and fabrication.
- Fit and align metal components before welding to ensure proper dimensions and positioning.
- Perform welding operations according to project specifications and required quality standards.
- Work with different types and sizes of metal materials as required.
- Use appropriate welding machines, tools, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated structures for defects, strength, alignment, and overall quality.
- Repair or rework defective welds and components when necessary.
- Maintain welding machines, hand tools, and other equipment in good working condition.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report damaged or malfunctioning tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow proper welding procedures and workplace safety regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding and fabrication activities.
- Take precautions to prevent accidents, burns, fire hazards, and other workplace incidents.
- Perform other welding and metal fabrication duties assigned by the supervisor.
