Sushi Chef
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience as a Sushi Chef
- Strong experience in sushi preparation and handling all aspects of a sushi bar
- Ability to prepare different kinds of sushi, including proper rolling techniques
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Good English communication skills and understanding
- No specific minimum educational attainment required, but experience and culinary skill are mandatory
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring high-quality presentation
- Maintain strict kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standards, particularly in the sushi bar section
- Manage sushi section mise en place and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Roll sushi properly and efficiently to meet restaurant service standards
- Deliver high-end table service in compliance with Saudi hospitality standards and restaurant protocols
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, maintaining a “guest-first” attitude
- Present menus, describe dishes in detail, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet service demands while maintaining quality
