Prince Sultan Cardiac Center is seeking qualified and experienced Staff Nurses with cardiac nursing experience to join its healthcare team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates may be assigned to specialized cardiac care areas, including the Cardiac ICU/CICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Operating Room, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, ECMO services, or Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care. Candidates with strong experience handling cardiac cases are preferred.

STAFF NURSE

Qualifications:

• Experience in one or more of the following specialized areas is preferred:
  • Cardiac ICU / CICU
  • Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
  • Cardiac Operating Room / OR
  • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL/Cath Lab)
  • ECMO
  • Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care
• Preferably with at least 3 years of experience handling cardiac cases.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac nursing care, patient monitoring, and critical-care procedures.
• Able to work effectively in specialized cardiac and hospital environments.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and emergency-response skills.
• Able to follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
• Compassionate, responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care to cardiac patients.
• Assess patients’ conditions, monitor vital signs, and promptly identify changes in clinical status.
• Provide nursing care to patients in Cardiac ICU/CICU and other specialized cardiac care units as assigned.
• Monitor patients with acute and critical cardiac conditions and report significant changes to the appropriate medical team.
• Provide care to patients in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) according to established clinical protocols.
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative nursing care in the Cardiac Operating Room/OR when assigned.
• Assist the medical and surgical team during cardiac procedures while maintaining proper infection-control and sterile techniques.
• Provide nursing support in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL/Cath Lab) according to departmental procedures.
• Prepare patients for cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures and monitor them before, during, and after procedures as required.
• Provide appropriate monitoring and nursing support for patients receiving or requiring ECMO care, according to institutional protocols and scope of practice.
• Assist in the care and monitoring of pediatric patients with critical cardiac conditions when assigned to Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as prescribed.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, oxygenation, and other relevant clinical parameters according to the assigned unit.
• Recognize signs of clinical deterioration and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and senior nursing staff.
• Assist with emergency and resuscitation procedures when required.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, nursing notes, medication records, and other clinical documentation.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, medication safety, and clinical quality standards.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, procedures, recovery, and appropriate follow-up care when applicable.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Properly operate and monitor relevant cardiac and critical-care equipment according to training and hospital procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards.
• Participate in continuing education, competency assessments, and professional development activities.
• Perform other nursing duties assigned by the hospital and nursing management.

Prince Sultan Cardiac Center is a four-storey, five level building designed to accommodate 174 beds. It is a specialized and independent center to provide complete therapeutic and preventive cardiac medical services to all Saudi Armed Forces personnel and their defendants and other patients eligible for treatment.
