601 Engineering Ltd. is seeking experienced and technically skilled Scheduler Planners for deployment to Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules while coordinating procurement and construction activities within engineering and construction projects.

SCHEDULER PLANNER

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Preferred age range: 35–50 years old.
  A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering, Business Management, or similar fields.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically within procurement and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tracking tools.
• Extensive experience in developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), critical path analysis, and project timeline forecasting.
• Proficient in identifying schedule variances, resource constraints, and potential project bottlenecks.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procurement cycles, and construction methodologies accurately.
• Good analytical, communication, and technical problem-solving skills to interface with various project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Install, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot master project schedules encompassing engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Perform logic ties, critical path analysis, and resource loading to ensure precise and realistic project tracking.
• Diagnose and resolve schedule delays, resource conflicts, and critical path variances safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and monitor physical on-site progress to validate updates against the baseline schedule.
• Read, interpret, and integrate material lead times, technical specifications, and construction sequences into the planning logic.
• Support project management in analyzing change orders, extension of time (EOT) claims, and risk management assessments.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis, performance metrics tracking, and earned value management (EVM) reviews.
• Ensure compliance with project milestones, contractual deadlines, operational procedures, and company standards.
• Coordinate with procurement teams, construction supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors regarding material deliveries and site activities.
• Prepare detailed scheduling reports, progress curves (S-curves), look-ahead schedules, and technical planning documentation accurately.
