Sample Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Laboratory Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Sample Supervisor, Quality Control Supervisor, Laboratory Supervisor, or in a similar role is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of sampling procedures, quality control systems, and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with laboratory practices, sample handling, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and supervise a team effectively.
• Willing to work in Congo under the employer’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily sampling operations and ensure all activities are performed according to company procedures and quality standards.
• Coordinate the collection, labeling, preparation, storage, and transportation of samples.
• Ensure proper identification, traceability, and documentation of all samples throughout the sampling process.
• Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality assurance requirements.
• Inspect sampling equipment and ensure it is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate sampling personnel to ensure consistent work quality and adherence to procedures.
• Coordinate with laboratory, production, warehouse, and quality control teams regarding sample requirements and testing schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of sampling activities, inventory, reports, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Investigate sampling discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain sample integrity.
• Monitor inventory levels of sampling materials and request replenishment when necessary.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sampling operations and submit them to management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other supervisory and quality-related duties assigned by management.
