SAFETY OFFICER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, or maintenance environments.
• Experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with electrical maintenance activities, power distribution systems, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and related equipment.
• Ability to identify workplace hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing procedures.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Strong report-writing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety documentation systems.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial and field environments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at work sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure safe execution of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and testing activities.
• Verify compliance with Saudi Aramco safety standards, company procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness programs.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events and prepare detailed reports.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure safe operation around power distribution systems, MCCs, transformers, motors, UPS systems, batteries, and grounding systems.
• Review job safety analyses (JSA), method statements, and risk assessments before work execution.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel to improve workplace safety performance.
• Support emergency response planning and safety drills.
