Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to oversee rigging personnel and lifting operations for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily rigging activities, ensuring safe execution of lifting operations, and maintaining compliance with approved lift plans, safety procedures, and project requirements.

RIGGING SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Petroleum/Oil/Gas Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Rigging Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Strong experience in managing rigging crews and supervising heavy lifting operations.
• Knowledge of lifting procedures, rigging techniques, and safety requirements.
• Experience inspecting rigging equipment and ensuring compliance with approved lift plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction and industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage rigging personnel and coordinate lifting operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
• Supervise daily rigging activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew performance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices at the project site.
• Coordinate heavy lifting operations with crane operators, riggers, engineers, and construction teams.
• Inspect rigging equipment, lifting accessories, and tools to ensure they are safe and suitable for use.
• Ensure all lifting activities are performed according to approved lift plans, risk assessments, and company procedures.
• Monitor compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures during lifting activities.
• Prepare daily reports, manpower records, lifting activity reports, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with project management and other departments to resolve operational issues.
