Bridged Private Limited is seeking qualified Riggers / Signalmen to assist with lifting and material-handling operations at construction and industrial worksites. The role involves preparing and securing loads, attaching lifting accessories, guiding crane operators using standard signals, and ensuring lifting activities are performed safely and efficiently.
RIGGER / SIGNAL MAN
Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of work experience in a related field.
- College level or vocational graduate.
- Applicants must be 18–62 years old.
- Previous experience as a rigger, signalman, steel worker, construction worker, or lifting crew member is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of rigging, lifting operations, and construction safety procedures.
- Ability to understand and use standard hand signals for crane operations.
- Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a construction or industrial environment.
- Safety-conscious, alert, and responsible.
- Able to work at heights and around heavy equipment when required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with lifting and rigging operations at construction or industrial worksites.
- Inspect and prepare lifting gears, slings, shackles, hooks, and other rigging equipment before use.
- Properly secure and attach loads to cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Guide crane operators using recognized hand signals and communication procedures.
- Ensure loads are balanced, properly secured, and suitable for lifting.
- Maintain a safe distance from suspended loads and restricted lifting areas.
- Assist with positioning and directing materials during lifting operations.
- Communicate effectively with crane operators, lifting supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Report damaged lifting equipment, unsafe conditions, and worksite hazards to supervisors.
- Follow approved lifting procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
