RESTAURANT HOST
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Restaurant Host, Hostess, or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management, Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a related field.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Well-groomed with a pleasant personality and professional appearance.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous while handling high guest volumes.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a friendly, professional, and courteous dining experience.
- Manage guest seating arrangements and escort guests to their assigned tables.
- Provide accurate wait times and efficiently manage the restaurant waiting list during busy periods.
- Present menus, explain restaurant offerings, and take beverage orders when required.
- Observe table availability and monitor occupied, vacant, and tables requiring cleaning to maximize seating efficiency.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties to ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for service.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the front-of-house and reception area.
- Coordinate with servers, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow and timely service.
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Follow hotel policies, food safety, and customer service standards at all times.
