Qumreya Operation and Maintenance Company is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems used in a food production manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure refrigeration equipment operates efficiently to maintain the required temperatures for food processing, storage, and production while minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring compliance with food safety and industrial standards.

REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Refrigeration Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a food production manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, refrigeration equipment, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret refrigeration diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles, compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerants, and temperature control systems.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial production environments, including cold storage and confined mechanical spaces when required.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure reliable operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, cooling towers, refrigeration piping, valves, and control systems.
• Monitor refrigeration system performance and adjust operating parameters to maintain required temperatures and efficiency.
• Inspect refrigerant levels, detect leaks, and perform refrigerant charging and recovery in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, expansion valves, thermostats, sensors, fans, motors, filters, and electrical controls.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret refrigeration schematics, piping diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, equipment logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime during repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company maintenance procedures, food safety standards, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Follow workplace health, safety, environmental, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
• Respond promptly to emergency refrigeration system breakdowns to prevent product loss and production interruptions.
• Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by supervisors.
