Alliance Medical is seeking experienced and highly skilled Radiographers to join its diagnostic imaging team in Ireland. The successful candidates will perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care, image quality, and radiation safety. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in PET-CT or high-level MRI imaging who are committed to delivering accurate diagnostic services in a modern healthcare environment.
RADIOGRAPHER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Radiographer.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- Current CORU Registration is required.
- Proven experience in PET-CT or high-level MRI imaging is required.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, radiation safety, patient care, and quality assurance standards.
- Proficiency in operating advanced MRI, PET-CT, and other diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Familiarity with RIS, PACS, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations using MRI, PET-CT, and other radiographic equipment as assigned.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure.
- Prepare patients for imaging examinations by explaining procedures and verifying clinical information.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain advanced imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental protocols.
- Administer imaging procedures while adhering to radiation protection principles and infection prevention standards.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to any clinical concerns.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and image records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
- Participate in quality assurance, equipment calibration, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with CORU regulations, professional standards, and hospital policies.
- Stay updated on advances in medical imaging technology and participate in continuing professional development.
- Perform other duties related to diagnostic imaging as assigned.
