Al Qahtani PCK Pipe Company (AQPCI) is seeking an experienced Quality Control / Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee quality assurance activities for line pipe manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with quality management systems, inspection and testing requirements, industry standards, and client specifications while driving continuous quality improvement.

QUALITY CONTROL/QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience in the Line Pipe Manufacturing Industry or a similar industrial manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must hold a Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor Certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of ASME Sections I, II, V, and IX; API 5L; API 2B; AWS D1.1; API Q1; EMS; OSHAS; and other applicable quality and welding standards.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II certification are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate with production teams, clients, and third-party inspectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and Manufacturing Process Specifications (MPS) for all assigned projects.
  • Ensure quality records are accurately documented throughout production and that all required documentation is completed on time.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise manpower required for inspection and testing activities.
  • Monitor daily inspection and testing progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve workflow.
  • Coordinate with the Production Department to resolve quality-related issues identified during inspection and testing.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct quality data analysis, monitor trends, and recommend quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assess the performance of QC Inspectors and provide or recommend technical training where necessary.
  • Monitor inspection and testing equipment to ensure proper maintenance and calibration in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
  • Coordinate with clients and Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for in-process, final inspections, and product release.
  • Prepare, maintain, and follow up on Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and project records.
  • Perform other temporary or permanent duties as assigned by supervisors.
