IMCO Engineering & Construction W.L.L is seeking a qualified and experienced QA/QC Inspector – Civil to work in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring civil construction, maintenance, repair, and building activities to ensure that work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and established procedures. The role requires practical knowledge of building structures, construction materials, methodologies, and related civil and MEP works, particularly within an oil and gas environment.

QA/QC Inspector – CIVIL

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of facilities and building maintenance, repair, and construction activities and programs.
• Familiarity with construction materials, methodologies, equipment, and tools used in building construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Practical knowledge of building structures and systems.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and MEP works.
• Ability to inspect civil and building works and identify quality issues or construction defects.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with engineers, supervisors, contractors, and other site personnel.
• Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Willingness to work in an oil and gas construction and maintenance environment.
• Responsible, organized, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively as part of a professional project team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections of civil construction, maintenance, repair, and building works.
• Monitor ongoing activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements.
• Inspect construction materials, workmanship, equipment, and tools used for civil and building works.
• Verify that materials and construction activities meet required quality standards before acceptance.
• Inspect building structures and related components for proper installation, workmanship, and compliance.
• Monitor activities involving concrete, masonry, plastering, finishing, waterproofing, flooring, and other civil works.
• Inspect carpentry, plumbing, painting, and other building-related activities as required.
• Coordinate with MEP personnel when civil works interface with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Identify construction defects, non-conformities, workmanship issues, and deviations from approved requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and related documentation.
• Report quality issues and non-conformities to the appropriate supervisor or project management personnel.
• Follow up on corrective actions and verify that identified defects are properly rectified.
• Assist in reviewing method statements, inspection procedures, and quality control requirements for civil activities.
• Conduct inspections at appropriate stages of construction, maintenance, and repair works.
• Ensure proper use and handling of construction materials, equipment, tools, and resources.
• Monitor site activities to ensure that approved construction methodologies and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors, and other project personnel regarding quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, deficiencies, corrective actions, and completed works.
• Support the implementation of project quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Ensure that civil works are completed safely, correctly, and in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.
