Production Supervisor (Offset)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in a relevant field.
- Strong experience in offset printing production and operations.
- Proven experience supervising offset printing machine operators and production personnel.
- Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, press setup, production planning, color control, registration, and print quality.
- Knowledge of common offset printing defects and effective troubleshooting methods.
- Experience monitoring production efficiency, machine downtime, material consumption, and waste.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance requirements for offset printing equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems, GMP, occupational health and safety, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Proficient in preparing production, efficiency, downtime, and waste reports.
- Able to train, coach, and motivate production personnel.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing and printing production environment.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as required by production schedules.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Offset Printing Department and ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines, materials, and other resources according to production requirements.
- Review job orders, production schedules, printing specifications, and customer requirements before production begins.
- Monitor machine performance, productivity, production output, and downtime, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure printed products meet approved specifications, color standards, registration accuracy, and customer quality requirements.
- Review and approve press setup and first-off samples before mass production.
- Coordinate with Prepress, Quality Assurance, Planning, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production flow.
- Monitor raw material consumption, ink usage, paper or substrate usage, waste, spoilage, and production losses.
- Identify opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce material waste and production costs.
- Ensure machine operators follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
- Lead troubleshooting activities involving printing defects such as color variation, misregistration, smudging, streaking, ghosting, poor ink coverage, and other print imperfections.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance Department regarding preventive maintenance schedules and machine repair requirements.
- Monitor equipment condition and availability to maximize machine uptime and production efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain daily production, efficiency, downtime, output, waste, and other operational reports.
- Analyze production performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate machine operators and other production personnel.
- Promote proper machine operation, workplace discipline, teamwork, and productivity among production staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management systems, ISO standards, GMP requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct or participate in production meetings and communicate production priorities and operational issues to relevant departments.
- Support continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, productivity enhancement, and waste-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of printing materials, inks, chemicals, and other production supplies.
- Coordinate with management regarding production issues, resource requirements, quality concerns, and operational improvements.
- Perform other production supervision and offset printing duties as assigned.
