Farmset Limited is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of its feed manufacturing facility in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing feed production operations, ensuring the efficient manufacture and delivery of high-quality animal feeds, and leading production personnel to achieve operational, quality, and safety objectives.

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in feed manufacturing, production management, or a related industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing operations and production processes.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems of production machinery.
• Proficient in the operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Experience in managing feed factory operations and branch coordination.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct the daily operations of the feed manufacturing and delivery process.
• Ensure the consistent production and timely delivery of high-quality animal feeds.
• Oversee production schedules, operational efficiency, and workflow to achieve production targets.
• Monitor feed manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Supervise plant operations to ensure equipment, machinery, and production lines operate efficiently.
• Perform or coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities for production equipment.
• Apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to feed manufacturing machinery.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented to minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished products.
• Manage feed factory operations and maintain effective coordination with branch operations.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and develop production staff and plant personnel.
• Implement workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  Prepare production reports, operational records, and performance evaluations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to support business objectives and operational requirements.
