Integrated Services Engineering Consulting Company (ISEC) is seeking a highly experienced Principal Process Technical Safety Engineer to provide leadership in process safety engineering for large-scale oil & gas and industrial projects in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in process operations while ensuring compliance with international safety standards and regulations.
Principal Process Technical Safety Engineer
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in process safety engineering
- Extensive experience in GES+, FEED, PMC, or EPC projects
- Strong background in oil & gas or large-scale industrial process safety
- Expertise in hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety management systems
- Knowledge of process safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHA, IEC, API, NFPA)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers in safety practices
Responsibilities:
- Lead process safety engineering activities for GES+, FEED, PMC, or EPC projects
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP), and safety studies
- Develop, review, and approve safety design criteria, safety manuals, and process safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with international safety codes, standards, and client requirements
- Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to integrate safety into designs
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior safety engineers
- Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses
- Evaluate safety performance and recommend improvements in process operations
- Support commissioning, start-up, and operational safety initiatives
- Prepare detailed safety reports and documentation for regulatory and client review
