PLATE WELDER (SMAW / FCAW)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience (3 years overseas and 2 years local) in SMAW and TIG welding processes
• Must have a valid WQT (Welder Qualification Test) and COEs as proof of experience
• Skilled in tank fitting, including measurement, layout, cutting, and assembly of steel plates for tank parts
• Knowledgeable in handling welding machines, fit-up procedures, and related tools and equipment

Responsibilities

• Weld steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Familiar with welding codes, electrodes, materials and equipment
• Familiar with FCAW welding tools and electrodes
• Weld steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
