Painter/Sand Blaster

Qualifications:

  • Qualified and experienced in surface preparation, sandblasting, and industrial coating application.
  • Experience working on structural steel, piping, and industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of approved coating systems, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Ability to operate sandblasting and industrial painting equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with coating inspection practices and thickness measurement is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physically fit and able to work in industrial and construction site environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Committed to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform surface preparation using sandblasting and other approved methods to achieve the required surface profile.
  • Apply industrial protective coatings, primers, and finish coats to structural steel, piping, tanks, and equipment.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare, mix, and apply coating materials according to manufacturer recommendations and approved coating systems.
  • Operate and maintain sandblasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Measure and monitor coating thickness and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and report defects, coating failures, or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the proper handling of blasting media and coating materials.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other team members to complete projects on schedule.
