Optometrist

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from any reputable school
• Minimum of 5 years
• Must have a Doctor of Optometry degree from any reputable school.
• Must be a licensed Optometrist.
• Must have a minimum of three years as a practicing Optometrist.
• Computer literate, knowledgeable in optical clinic operations and promotions.
• Must have excellent communication skills, be organized, and be able to perform multi-tasking activities.
• With good moral character, honest, hardworking, and diligent in all aspects, and can work under minimal supervision.
• Must know how to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
• Eye Refraction/Prescribing corrective lenses
• Promotion of the optical shop, eyeglasses, contact lenses, etc.
• Monthly liquidation of advances for eyeglass processing in PI
• Monthly summary and submission of insurance claims
• Repair of eyeglasses, edging of lenses, and orienting patients on lens fitting
• Maintain records, such as optical files, charge system files, and inventories
• Submits Monthly Inventory of eyeglasses, frames, contact lenses, etc – scheduled every 3rd of the month
• Submits Monthly Summary of Sales and Receivables scheduled every 5th of the month
• Participates in every scheduled inventory

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
