NAIL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Completion of a recognized nail technician or cosmetology program is required.
• Any local licensing required for the position must be obtained or complied with.
• Previous salon or professional nail technician experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nail care, sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols.
• Skilled in manicures, pedicures, gel applications, acrylic enhancements, and dip powder techniques.
• Ability to create detailed and customized nail art with precision.
• Good hand control and steady hands for intricate nail designs and technical procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality nail services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand client preferences and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional personality.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation before, during, and after client appointments.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistent service quality.
• Reliable, hardworking, professional, and willing to learn new nail techniques.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform professional manicures and pedicures according to salon standards and client preferences.
• Provide hand and foot massages as part of nail care and beauty treatments.
• Apply and maintain gel, acrylic, and dip powder nail enhancements.
• Prepare nails by cleaning, shaping, buffing, and caring for the cuticles.
• Consult with clients regarding their preferred nail designs, colors, shapes, and styles.
• Create customized nail art based on client requests and current beauty trends.
• Perform intricate nail designs with precision, steady hands, and attention to detail.
• Assess the condition of clients’ nails and provide appropriate care recommendations.
• Explain nail care procedures and recommend suitable home aftercare products.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with regular clients.
• Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service to every client.
• Recommend appropriate nail care and maintenance products based on client needs.
• Schedule future appointments and encourage repeat visits through quality service.
• Sterilize and properly disinfect nail tools and equipment before and after every client appointment.
• Clean and disinfect workstations, manicure tables, pedicure areas, and other salon surfaces regularly.
• Follow proper sanitation, hygiene, and nail safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas.
• Properly handle and dispose of used materials and salon waste according to safety procedures.
• Keep updated with current nail techniques, designs, products, and beauty trends.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Report any equipment, product, or sanitation concerns to salon management.
• Perform other nail care and salon-related duties assigned by management.
