Perdaman Global Services is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Motor Rewinder for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, rewinding, assembling, and testing electric motors and other rotating electrical equipment, including pumps, generators, stators, rotors, armatures, and coils.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• At least a four-year college graduate.
• Trade qualification in Electrical Fitting, Motor Rewinding, Armature Winding, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience in motor rewinding, electrical equipment repair, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Experience testing and fault-finding electric motors and rotating electrical equipment.
• Experience working with pumps, generators, stators, rotors, armatures, and high-voltage motors.
• Strong knowledge of motor winding and insulation systems.
• Ability to perform electrical tests including insulation resistance, winding resistance, surge testing, polarity checks, and no-load testing.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical components of rotating equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in repair and testing work.
• Ability to read technical information and follow electrical repair procedures.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and electrical safety standards.
• Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose motor winding failures, insulation breakdown, bearing failures, mechanical damage, and other equipment defects.
• Strip, dismantle, inspect, and assess electric motors, pumps, generators, and other rotating electrical equipment.
• Identify electrical and mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair requirements.
• Record rewinding data, inspection findings, repair details, photographs, and other job information accurately.
• Install insulation systems, coils, wedges, ties, and electrical terminations.
• Rewind AC and DC motors, stators, rotors, armatures, and coils as required.
• Remove damaged windings and prepare motors and components for rewinding.
• Carry out electrical testing before and after repairs.
• Perform insulation resistance testing, winding resistance testing, surge testing, polarity checks, and no-load testing.
• Inspect repaired motors and rotating equipment to ensure proper assembly and performance.
• Assist with the repair and maintenance of pumps, generators, and high-voltage motors.
• Assemble repaired motors and ensure components are correctly fitted and aligned.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Prepare accurate service and repair documentation.
• Report equipment defects, unusual test results, and other technical issues to supervisors.
• Work with electrical technicians, engineers, and other maintenance personnel as required.
• Perform other motor repair, rewinding, and electrical maintenance duties as assigned.
