Perdaman Global Services is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Chemical Plant Operator for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will operate and monitor chemical processing equipment used in rubber manufacturing, control critical production parameters, handle chemicals and raw materials safely, and perform equipment start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting activities to maintain efficient and consistent production.

Chemical Plant Operator

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• At least a four-year college graduate.
• Experience in a rubber, chemical, polymer, plastics, or manufacturing plant.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, industrial processing, and plant safety procedures.
• Practical experience operating industrial processing equipment.
• Understanding of process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and mixing times.
• Ability to perform equipment start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong awareness of chemical safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Good attention to detail and ability to monitor production processes accurately.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and technical instructions.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in an industrial plant environment.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment used in rubber manufacturing.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, flow rates, mixing times, and other critical process parameters.
• Adjust process controls as required to maintain consistent production and product quality.
• Perform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures according to established operating instructions.
• Conduct routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance activities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment problems or abnormal operating conditions.
• Prepare, measure, and handle chemicals and raw materials according to production requirements.
• Follow proper chemical handling, storage, labeling, and safety procedures.
• Ensure correct quantities and materials are used according to production specifications.
• Monitor production processes and identify deviations that may affect product quality.
• Record operating parameters, production data, equipment conditions, and other required information.
• Conduct routine inspections of processing equipment and plant areas.
• Follow standard operating procedures, environmental requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling chemicals and operating plant equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, maintenance personnel, and other production staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Report spills, leaks, equipment faults, process abnormalities, or safety hazards immediately.
• Assist in maintaining efficient plant operations and meeting production targets.
• Perform other plant operation duties as assigned.
