Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer for an overseas work opportunity in Australia. The successful candidate will support underground mining operations through mine planning, production coordination, safety management, and efficient extraction of mineral resources.
MINING ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the same or related field.
- Must have underground mining engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of college or a 1-year vocational course.
- Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and operations.
- Experience in underground mine planning, development, production, or technical services is an advantage.
- Good understanding of mining safety procedures and operational standards.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering and mining plans.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an underground mining environment.
- Physically and mentally capable of working in mining conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate underground mining operations in accordance with approved mine plans and production targets.
- Develop and review mine designs, excavation plans, and production schedules.
- Monitor mining activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans and operational requirements.
- Analyze geological, engineering, and production data to support mining decisions.
- Coordinate with geologists, geotechnical engineers, surveyors, supervisors, and mine operators.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Assist in planning underground development, excavation, drilling, blasting, and material extraction activities.
- Support the implementation of safe mining methods and ground control practices.
- Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate engineering and safety controls.
- Prepare technical reports, mine plans, production reports, and other engineering documentation.
- Monitor equipment utilization, production rates, and operational performance.
- Ensure mining activities comply with applicable safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
- Participate in inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to mining supervisors and operational teams.
- Perform other mining engineering duties as required.
