SAIPEM / Osman Gazi Project is seeking an experienced Millwright for Preservation for an overseas employment opportunity at Filyos Port, Turkey. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance and preservation activities to protect equipment and maintain its condition, reliability, and readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
MILLWRIGHT FOR PRESERVATION
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Millwright or in equipment preservation activities.
- Strong background in mechanical maintenance and asset preservation.
- Experience maintaining and preserving rotating and static equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, including SAP, Maximo, Datastream, or similar platforms.
- Experience in offshore, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, marine, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with mechanical tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and equipment preservation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to safety and HSE standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical preservation and maintenance activities on industrial equipment.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify corrosion, deterioration, contamination, damage, or other potential issues.
- Carry out preservation activities on rotating and static equipment to maintain equipment integrity and serviceability.
- Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance as required.
- Inspect, maintain, and preserve pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, valves, vessels, piping, and other mechanical equipment.
- Apply appropriate preservation methods to protect equipment from moisture, corrosion, dust, and environmental conditions.
- Perform equipment lubrication and ensure lubrication systems are maintained according to approved procedures.
- Conduct equipment checks, mechanical inspections, and preservation activities according to established schedules.
- Identify mechanical defects and report equipment abnormalities promptly.
- Assist with equipment alignment, rotation, cleaning, protection, and preparation for commissioning when required.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical maintenance equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, preservation activities, maintenance work, and equipment condition.
- Use CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, Datastream, or similar platforms to record work orders and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, engineering, and operations teams.
- Support commissioning, shutdown, inspection, and other project maintenance activities when required.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow approved preservation plans, maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Identify and report safety hazards and preservation concerns.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and equipment protection.
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and safe working practices.
