MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma in Mechanics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in various mechanical maintenance works.
• Relevant experience may include machinery maintenance, equipment servicing, mechanical repair, or related technical maintenance activities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform appropriate repairs.
• Skilled in using mechanical hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and maintenance procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and follow assigned maintenance schedules.
• Physically fit and capable of performing mechanical maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine mechanical inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment and machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Inspect mechanical components to identify signs of wear, damage, malfunction, or abnormal operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and determine the cause of faults or breakdowns.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and install mechanical components as required.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment during maintenance and repair activities.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment safely and correctly.
• Lubricate, clean, and maintain mechanical equipment and components.
• Check equipment alignment, connections, moving parts, and other mechanical systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance when required.
• Follow technical manuals, maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
• Record completed maintenance activities, equipment conditions, repairs, and replaced parts.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical problems.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment when required.
• Report major equipment defects, safety hazards, and maintenance requirements to supervisors.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
