Job Location: Palau

Palau Investment & Development Company (PIDC) is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.

Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical) or related field.
  • Technical certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic or technician.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles, engines, and mechanical systems to identify issues.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Perform repairs and replacement of defective parts.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing on vehicles and equipment.
  • Test vehicles and equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and organization of tools and equipment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and regulations consistently.
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations to supervisors or customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
