PRIFOL is seeking an experienced Machine Operator (Metallized Film) to join its manufacturing team in Slovakia. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining metallizing machines used in the production of high-quality metallized plastic films. The role requires expertise in vacuum coating technology, machine parameter adjustments, quality control, preventive maintenance, and adherence to workplace safety and production standards.

MACHINE OPERATOR (METALLIZED FILM)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Machine Operator, with at least 3–5 years of experience operating metallizing machines or similar equipment in the plastic film, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of the metallizing process, including vacuum coating, aluminum deposition, and plastic film handling.
• Ability to set up, operate, monitor, and adjust machine parameters to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
• Familiarity with different types of plastic films, including PET, BOPP, CPP, and their manufacturing applications.
• Experience in identifying and resolving machine malfunctions, production issues, and product defects.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and safe machine operating practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a production team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts when required.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor metallizing machines according to production schedules, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
• Adjust machine parameters such as vacuum pressure, aluminum coating thickness, winding tension, line speed, and process settings to achieve optimal production quality.
• Monitor the metallizing process continuously to ensure stable machine performance and consistent product quality.
• Conduct regular inspections of metallized films during production to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Identify product defects, process deviations, or machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or promptly report issues to the supervisor.
• Perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Assist with machine changeovers, setup adjustments, and production start-ups.
• Handle and process various plastic film materials, including PET, BOPP, CPP, and other specialty films.
• Monitor raw material usage and minimize production waste while maximizing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records, quality inspection reports, maintenance logs, and machine operating data.
• Follow company quality control procedures and ensure all finished products meet required specifications.
• Comply with workplace health, safety, environmental, and manufacturing regulations at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and production equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with production supervisors, maintenance personnel, and quality assurance teams.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
