Light Vehicle Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Good English communication skills
- Strong experience in overhauling manual transmissions
- Proven experience in overhauling differentials and transfer cases
- Well-rounded experience in full vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and maintenance
- Experience working on 4WD vehicles is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently
- Experience with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair light vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform complete vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance services
- Overhaul and repair manual transmissions, differentials, and transfer cases
- Diagnose and repair engine, suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain systems
- Conduct troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Replace defective components and perform mechanical repairs
- Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify faults
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and workshop procedures
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment
