LEAD ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.
- Must have maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plant, or Power Plant facilities.
- Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a similar field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Strong experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise electrical field crews and technicians.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to estimate labor and material requirements for electrical work.
- Experience in inventory management and monitoring electrical materials and spare parts.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety, HSEQ requirements, and electrical work procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical documents, and equipment manuals.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple field activities.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial environments.
- Reliable, disciplined, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily electrical maintenance and field operations at industrial facilities.
- Lead and supervise electrical technicians and field crews to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
- Perform and oversee the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to electrical technicians during maintenance and repair activities.
- Review work requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and maintenance procedures before commencing work.
- Diagnose electrical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure electrical maintenance activities are completed according to approved procedures, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower requirements, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Estimate labor, material, and equipment requirements for electrical maintenance and repair activities.
- Monitor material usage and maintain appropriate inventory levels for electrical parts and supplies.
- Coordinate procurement or replenishment of required electrical materials and spare parts.
- Inspect completed electrical work to ensure proper installation, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, operations personnel, contractors, and other maintenance disciplines.
- Serve as a communication link between field workers, supervisors, and management.
- Monitor crew performance, productivity, work quality, and adherence to established schedules.
- Ensure proper implementation of electrical safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and HSEQ standards.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that technicians use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify potential electrical hazards and implement appropriate corrective or preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and completed work.
- Assist management in planning preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Respond to electrical equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely troubleshooting and repair.
- Ensure tools, testing instruments, and electrical equipment are properly maintained and safely used.
- Perform other electrical supervision, maintenance, and technical duties assigned by management.
