Mandurah and South Western Glass Pty. Ltd is hiring experienced Laboratory Technicians for deployment in Australia. The company is seeking skilled technical professionals who can monitor, analyze, and optimize chemical and industrial production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and operational reliability.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, or industrial laboratory environments.
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a related industrial role.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate holder in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Diploma or Technical Qualification in Chemical Technology, Process Operations, or similar discipline is required.
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, mining, petrochemical, or water treatment industries.
- Knowledge of process control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control chemical manufacturing and production processes to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Analyze process performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and operational reliability.
- Optimize process parameters to improve yield, product quality, and system performance.
- Conduct process troubleshooting and identify root causes of operational or production issues.
- Support process start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Collect, record, and analyze laboratory and process data accurately.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards in industrial operations.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation based on process findings and analysis.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to implement process improvements.
- Operate and monitor process control systems such as PLC, SCADA, or DCS when required.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and chemical handling standards at all times.
