Mandurah and South Western Glass Pty. Ltd is hiring experienced Formworks Carpenters for deployment in Australia. The company is seeking skilled construction professionals who can accurately construct, assemble, and dismantle concrete formwork systems in accordance with engineering and architectural specifications.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong carpentry experience in concrete formwork, structural construction, and large-scale building projects.

FORMWORKS CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Formworks Carpenter or in related construction carpentry work.
• Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• At least 1 year in college or vocational graduate may be waived from IELTS/PTE English test requirements.
• Strong ability to calculate dimensions, angles, and volumes accurately.
• High proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, tape measures, levels) and power tools (circular saws, drills, laser levels).
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor, work in outdoor environments, and stand for long periods.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working under varying weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret architectural and engineering plans to determine shapes, dimensions, and structural requirements for concrete formwork.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, or metal panels according to precise project specifications.
• Assemble, align, and secure formwork using nails, bolts, ties, and braces.
• Ensure molds are level, plumb, and structurally sound to withstand the pressure of wet concrete.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other embedments within formwork prior to concrete pouring.
• Dismantle and strip forms after concrete has cured, ensuring materials are cleaned and prepared for reuse.
• Maintain accuracy in measurements, alignment, and structural setup of formwork systems.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, levels, and measuring instruments.
• Follow engineering drawings and construction plans with precision.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction site regulations.
• Assist in general construction site activities as required by supervisors.
