LABORATORY MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant laboratory experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or equivalent
• Registered with a recognized professional body (if applicable)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems, safety standards, and diagnostic procedures
• Experience in private healthcare or multisite medical centres is an advantage
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Experience supporting audits and accreditation processes
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, workflows, and staff supervision
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, safety standards, and diagnostic procedures
• Manage laboratory equipment maintenance, usage, and performance standards
• Implement and monitor Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Support internal and external audits, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise laboratory personnel and ensure proper training and performance management
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of laboratory results
• Coordinate with clinical teams and management for laboratory service delivery
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency
