Seafish Falklands Limited is seeking hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to support kitchen operations in the Falkland Islands. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and associated areas, washing and storing kitchen equipment and utensils, performing deep-cleaning duties, monitoring cleaning supplies, and following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Must be at least a high school graduate.
- Relevant kitchen porter, kitchen assistant, stewarding, cleaning, or food service experience is preferred.
- Good spoken English and communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding physical work for extended periods.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items as required in a busy kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and safe cleaning practices.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, kitchen cleaning equipment, and related tools.
- Hardworking, reliable, responsible, and flexible.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to follow company SOPs, Work Instructions, health and safety procedures, and supervisor directions.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Willing to undertake required training and apply learned procedures in daily work.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and all associated areas.
- Keep kitchen work areas, floors, surfaces, storage areas, and surrounding spaces clean, organized, and safe.
- Wash, clean, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment after use.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Perform deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, and other equipment, as required.
- Carry out cleaning tasks according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
- Assist the kitchen team with general cleaning and preparation duties as required.
- Monitor the condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and report any issues to the Head Chef or supervisor.
- Ensure cleaned equipment, utensils, and dishes are stored appropriately and ready for use.
- Monitor supplies of cleaning products and notify the Head Chef or responsible supervisor when stocks are running low.
- Use cleaning chemicals, detergents, and sanitation products safely and according to instructions.
- Complete all required cleaning records, checklists, forms, and other paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food safety requirements in daily kitchen operations.
- Attend required training and properly implement the procedures and practices covered during training.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Handle waste and rubbish appropriately and maintain proper waste disposal practices.
- Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by keeping floors and walkways clear of spills, equipment, and other hazards.
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and other team members to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve cleaning procedures, efficiency, and overall kitchen operations.
- Report any safety concerns, equipment defects, supply shortages, or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform other reasonable kitchen porter, cleaning, and support duties delegated by the Head Chef or Business Manager.
