Hair and Nail Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Experience providing professional hair and nail care services to clients.
• Skilled in basic hair cutting, styling, coloring, and hair treatments.
• Knowledge of manicure and pedicure procedures.
• Skilled in gel polish application and basic nail art.
• Knowledge of basic nail cleaning, shaping, preparation, and nail extensions.
• Good understanding of proper hair and nail product handling.
• Knowledge of salon hygiene, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and attentive to clients’ preferences and requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and professional service standards.
• Reliable, hardworking, well-groomed, and able to work effectively as part of a beauty salon team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional hair and nail care services to clients according to salon standards.
• Perform hair cutting, trimming, shaping, and basic hair styling based on client preferences.
• Perform blow-drying, hair setting, and other basic styling techniques.
• Apply hair color and perform basic coloring services according to client requirements.
• Perform basic hair treatments and recommend suitable treatments based on client needs.
• Prepare hair, tools, equipment, and products before each service.
• Provide professional manicure and pedicure services.
• Clean, trim, shape, and properly prepare natural nails for treatment.
• Apply regular and gel polish evenly and professionally.
• Perform basic nail art according to client requests and salon standards.
• Provide basic nail extension services using appropriate products and techniques.
• Remove existing nail polish, gel polish, or nail enhancements safely when required.
• Maintain clean and properly sanitized tools, equipment, workstations, and service areas.
• Follow proper hygiene and sanitation procedures during hair and nail services.
• Consult with clients regarding their preferred hairstyle, hair treatment, nail design, and service requirements.
• Ensure proper handling and application of hair, nail, and beauty products.
• Monitor the condition of clients’ hair and nails and provide appropriate basic care recommendations.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming appearance and provide courteous customer service.
• Handle salon tools and equipment safely and report damaged or defective equipment to management.
• Maintain adequate supplies of hair and nail products and inform management when replenishment is needed.
• Follow salon policies, safety procedures, hygiene standards, and service protocols.
• Perform other hair, nail, and salon-related duties assigned by management.
