Instrument Technician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience
  • Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate holder in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, sensors, and instrumentation maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, and schematics
  • Experience in preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial instruments
  • Safety-conscious with experience following standard industrial practices

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults in pneumatic, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems and replace defective parts
  • Install new control systems, sensors, and equipment, following wiring diagrams, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical manuals
  • Perform regular calibration and preventive maintenance on pressure, temperature, flow, and level control instruments to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibration results using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies
