INDUSTRIAL SCAFFOLDER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 2–5 years of proven experience in industrial or construction scaffolding.
• Scaffolding certification such as CITB, OSHA, CISRS, or local equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tube and coupler, modular/system, and suspended scaffolding systems.
• Good understanding of scaffolding safety regulations, load requirements, fall protection, and risk assessment procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, balancing, and working safely at heights.
• Able to work in confined spaces and under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read and understand scaffolding plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Good teamwork and communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with site personnel.
• Safety-conscious, responsible, and detail-oriented in all scaffolding operations.

Responsibilities:

• Erect, modify, and dismantle various types of scaffolding structures, including tube and coupler, modular/system, and suspended scaffolds.
• Read and interpret scaffolding plans, technical drawings, specifications, and load requirements before installation.
• Select, inspect, and prepare scaffolding components and materials, ensuring they are free from damage, defects, or excessive wear.
• Secure scaffolding structures to buildings and other structures using appropriate anchor bolts, braces, tie-ins, and supports.
• Install guardrails, toe boards, ladders, access platforms, safety netting, and other fall-protection systems.
• Ensure erected scaffolding is properly aligned, stable, level, and capable of supporting the required loads.
• Conduct risk assessments and follow all site safety procedures, fall-protection requirements, and applicable scaffolding regulations.
• Perform daily inspections of erected scaffolds and ensure proper safety tagging before allowing access.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to provide safe and appropriate access for construction and maintenance activities.
• Work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather and site conditions.
• Maintain, clean, and properly store scaffolding components, tools, and equipment after use.
• Report damaged components, unsafe conditions, and structural concerns to the supervisor immediately.
