HOUSEKEEPER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Vocational Diploma, Short Course Certificate, or equivalent in Personal Services, Building/Ground Services, Protective Services & Management, or similar fields. Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge of infection control, cleaning chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding healthcare environment.
• Work in a fast-paced, clinical setting.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with medical staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and respond to urgent cleaning needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent is often required; prior healthcare or cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, waiting areas, offices, and hallways.
• Infection Control: Follow strict protocols for disinfecting high-touch areas and managing biohazardous waste to prevent the spread of infections.
• Terminal Cleaning: Conduct deep cleaning of patient rooms after discharge or transfer.
• Waste Disposal: Empty trash receptacles and dispose of medical waste in accordance with hospital regulations.
• Maintenance Support: Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment, leaks) to the appropriate department.
• Supply Management: Restock essential items such as soap, towels, and linens.
