Auto Painter (General Motors)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as an Auto Painter.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering or related technical field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Must have at least 2 years of work experience in General Motors dealerships, such as Chevrolet and Cadillac.
- Willing to be assigned in Qatar.
- Knowledge of automotive paint preparation, color matching, refinishing, and detailing procedures.
- Familiarity with spray painting equipment, paint mixing systems, and automotive refinishing materials.
- Ability to work with precision and maintain high-quality finishing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and removing imperfections.
- Ensure all painting tools and equipment such as spray guns, brushes, buffers, and compressors are available and in good working condition before starting work.
- Mix and match paint colors according to manufacturer specifications and repair requirements.
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using professional spray-painting techniques.
- Perform refinishing work on repaired or replacement vehicle panels.
- Inspect painted surfaces and carry out touch-ups or corrections when necessary.
- Operate polishing and buffing equipment to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and work area.
- Follow workplace safety standards and proper handling procedures for paints, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ensure all completed work meets dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
