HORTICULTURIST (Vertical Farming & Hydroponics)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Hydroponics, Vertical Farming, or Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
- Strong knowledge of hydroponic nutrient management, water quality monitoring (EC and pH), irrigation systems, climate control, and crop production.
- Experience in greenhouse operations, integrated pest management (IPM), and plant health monitoring.
- Previous experience working in a resort or island environment is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in a tropical climate.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with resort operations and culinary teams.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and innovative farming technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage hydroponic and vertical farming systems to maximize crop yield and quality.
- Cultivate, monitor, and harvest fresh vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, and other crops for the resort’s food and beverage operations.
- Monitor and adjust nutrient solutions, water quality, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and irrigation systems to maintain optimal growing conditions.
- Control greenhouse climate conditions, including temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilation.
- Inspect crops regularly to identify pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and other plant health issues, and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Apply integrated pest management (IPM) practices and maintain high standards of plant health and biosecurity.
- Perform routine maintenance of hydroponic equipment, irrigation systems, pumps, grow lights, and environmental control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of crop production, harvesting schedules, nutrient usage, maintenance activities, and inventory.
- Coordinate with the resort’s culinary team to ensure a continuous supply of fresh, high-quality produce.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, environmental, and sustainability standards.
- Recommend improvements to increase production efficiency, crop quality, and resource conservation.
- Perform other horticulture and greenhouse-related duties assigned by management.

- Diploma and TOR if College Graduate
- Employment certificates (previous to present)
- Trainings attended
- Exit visa and Iqama id (Ex Saudi)
