HAIRDRESSER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, or a related field.
• Female applicants are preferred, as specified by the employer.
• NC II in Hairdressing is required.
• Proven skills in hair cutting, coloring, styling, blow-drying, and other professional hairdressing techniques.
• Knowledge of different hair types, colors, textures, and appropriate treatment and styling methods.
• Ability to perform professional hair coloring and achieve accurate color, length, and styling results.
• Knowledge of proper hair and scalp care and techniques for minimizing damage caused by heat and chemical treatments.
• Skilled in the safe and proper use of hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, scissors, combs, brushes, and other salon tools.
• Strong knowledge of equipment sanitation, disinfection, personal hygiene, and salon safety procedures.
• Good customer service, communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, patient, and attentive to clients’ preferences and requirements.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, hygienic, and professional salon environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods while performing hairdressing services.
• Reliable, hardworking, professional, and committed to providing high-quality salon services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional hair cutting, coloring, styling, and hair care services for clients with different hair types and colors.
• Cut and style blonde, brunette, red, and other hair colors according to client preferences and salon standards.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired haircut, color, length, style, and overall hair care needs.
• Assess the condition of clients’ hair and scalp and recommend suitable treatments, products, and styling techniques.
• Ensure clients’ hair and scalp are clean, healthy, well-maintained, and properly prepared for services.
• Perform hair coloring, highlighting, toning, bleaching, and other color treatments according to professional procedures.
• Style clients’ hair using appropriate techniques and equipment to achieve the desired appearance.
• Use blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, styling brushes, and other heat tools safely and properly.
• Take appropriate precautions when using heat and chemical treatments to prevent unnecessary hair or scalp damage.
• Recommend suitable hair care products and provide clients with basic advice on maintaining their hairstyle and hair health.
• Perform hair treatments and other salon services within the scope of training and professional qualifications.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure clients are satisfied with completed hair services.
• Sanitize and disinfect scissors, combs, brushes, styling tools, and other equipment before and after use.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, salon equipment, chairs, sinks, and surrounding areas.
• Properly handle and store hair color products, chemicals, styling products, and other salon materials.
• Monitor and maintain proper inventory of wig samples, hairpieces, accessories, styling products, and other salon supplies.
• Report inventory shortages, damaged equipment, or supply requirements to the appropriate supervisor or salon management.
• Maintain professional personal grooming and appearance consistent with salon standards.
• Follow salon health, safety, sanitation, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism and courtesy at all times.
• Keep updated with current hairdressing techniques, styles, trends, and professional practices.
• Perform other hairdressing, salon service, and customer care duties assigned by management.
