GMAW Welder

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Must be a Bachelor’s/College Degree holder in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or a related field.
  • Must have experience in GMAW welding for tank/vessel fabrication, piping, or steel-structure projects.
  • Must be currently active in welding-related work.
  • Must be a holder of a valid TESDA NC II in Welding.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Physically fit to work in industrial environments and at heights.
  • Must have no medical restrictions that would prevent the performance of required duties.
  • Must be knowledgeable in workplace safety procedures and proper use of welding tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from the Maintenance Plant Locksmith Team Leader, including locksmith work, welding, and assembly tasks.
  • Perform GMAW welding for fabrication, repair, and assembly activities as assigned.
  • Transport machines, materials, and tools using forklifts, cranes, and hand tools when authorized.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and welding symbols.
  • Follow established technological, quality, and occupational safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Use time, materials, tools, and equipment responsibly and efficiently.
  • Immediately address or secure any identified workplace hazards and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Follow prescribed work, rest, and meal schedules.
  • Participate constructively in team meetings and coordinate effectively with other team members.
  • Perform other welding, maintenance, fabrication, and assembly duties as assigned.
