Flexo Laquering (HCI) Machine Operator

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Others or a similar technical field.
• Previous experience operating Flexographic printing, lacquering, coating, packaging, or related production machines is an advantage.
• Knowledge of flexographic printing and lacquering machine operation.
• Understanding of machine setup, adjustment, registration, coating application, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to monitor machine performance and identify production or equipment problems.
• Knowledge of quality inspection and defect identification.
• Basic mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to follow machine operating procedures, production instructions, and workplace safety requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or extended production hours when required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Flexo Laquering (HCI) machines according to production specifications and work instructions.
• Prepare machines, materials, inks, coatings, and other required supplies before starting production.
• Check machine settings, rollers, printing units, coating systems, and other components before operation.
• Monitor machine performance continuously during production to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Adjust machine settings, pressure, speed, coating application, registration, and other parameters as needed to maintain product quality.
• Monitor the application of lacquer or coating to ensure consistent coverage, finish, and appearance.
• Inspect printed and lacquered materials for defects, color consistency, coating quality, registration, smudging, and other quality issues.
• Ensure finished products meet established production specifications and quality standards.
• Identify defective materials and report recurring quality issues to the supervisor.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and routine maintenance as required.
• Clean printing and coating components properly after production to maintain machine performance.
• Report machine malfunctions, breakdowns, abnormal operation, or equipment issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Assist maintenance personnel with basic troubleshooting and machine-related activities when required.
• Maintain accurate machine operation, production, and quality records.
• Monitor production output and minimize material waste whenever possible.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the machine.
• Follow company production, quality control, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery and handling inks, coatings, and production materials.
• Perform other machine operation and production duties assigned by management.
