Job Location: Qatar

Pledge Construction & Trading Agencies is currently seeking skilled and experienced Fire Fighting Technicians for deployment to Qatar. The successful candidate will install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire protection and firefighting systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Fire Fighting Technician

Qualifications:

  • With relevant work experience in fire protection and firefighting systems.
  • GCC experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firefighting systems and equipment.
  • Familiar with:
    • Fire sprinkler systems
    • Fire hose reels
    • Fire pumps
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Fire alarm systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and system schematics.
  • Knowledgeable in safety regulations, fire codes, and workplace procedures.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, testing devices, and maintenance equipment.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in construction and industrial environments.
  • Responsible, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical or construction team.
  • Good communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain firefighting and fire protection systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire pumps, sprinkler systems, alarms, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in firefighting systems and components.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, piping layouts, and system diagrams accurately.
  • Ensure all firefighting equipment is functional, properly maintained, and ready for emergency use.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures, fire safety regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams regarding installation and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
