FIRE ALARM OPERATOR

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in fire alarm systems installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), smoke detectors, heat detectors, and notification devices.
  • Experience in cable routing, conduit installation, wiring, and system terminations.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to identify and resolve wiring issues, ground faults, short circuits, and system malfunctions.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of fire safety standards, building codes, and operational procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Install cables, conduits, and wiring for Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), detectors, and notification devices.
  • Perform installation and setup of fire alarm system components according to technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Conduct loop testing, verify device addresses, and perform alarm activation tests to ensure system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair wiring faults, ground faults, short circuits, and fire alarm system issues.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system diagnostics.
  • Ensure all fire alarm systems comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate testing records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and technical teams regarding installation and repair activities.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
