FABRICATOR
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in fabrication or machine operation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Mechanical background is preferred.
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent is an advantage.
- Must have completed at least a 1-year vocational course or at least one year of college education.
- Proficient in using welding equipment, plasma cutters, bending machines, and other fabrication tools.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Valid forklift license is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong English communication skills to effectively coordinate with the Factory Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural reinforcing steel and heavy-gauge metal components.
- Perform cutting, bending, and fabrication work based on engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Repair and maintain fabricated steel products and metal components.
- Operate fabrication equipment including welding machines, plasma cutters, bending machines, and other metalworking tools.
- Load, unload, and safely handle raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct quality inspections in accordance with ISO 9001 and ACRS standards.
- Meet daily production targets and complete required production documentation.
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, and pre-start safety inspections.
- Operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts safely.
- Assist with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of production machinery.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
