Emdad Human Resources Company is seeking an experienced Fabrication Team Leader to supervise and coordinate daily metal fabrication activities and ensure products meet engineering specifications, quality requirements, production schedules, and safety standards. The successful candidate will lead fabrication personnel, monitor workflow, coordinate production activities, and ensure compliance with Ministry of Defense manufacturing standards.
Fabrication Team Leader
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, fitting, assembly, grinding, and welding preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and production reporting systems.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
- Willing to comply with Ministry of Defense manufacturing, quality, safety, and security procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily metal fabrication operations.
- Lead, assign, and monitor fabrication personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment according to production requirements.
- Monitor production progress and ensure work is completed according to established schedules.
- Oversee fabrication processes including cutting, fitting, assembly, grinding, and welding preparation.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Monitor the proper use of hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Inspect fabricated components for quality, accuracy, alignment, and workmanship.
- Identify production and quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with quality control, engineering, welding, machining, and production teams.
- Maintain production reports, inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Train, guide, and mentor fabrication personnel to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Ensure fabrication equipment and tools are properly maintained and safely operated.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication work area.
- Enforce workplace safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Monitor compliance with quality control procedures and inspection standards.
- Ensure fabrication activities comply with Ministry of Defense manufacturing, quality, safety, and security requirements.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
