EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Proven experience operating excavators in construction, earthmoving, or related projects.
• GCC or Saudi Arabia work experience is preferred.
• Must have TESDA or equivalent certification in Heavy Equipment Operation (Excavator).
• Ability to safely operate excavators for digging, trenching, grading, loading, land clearing, and foundation excavation.
• Ability to understand and follow basic blueprints, site plans, work instructions, and excavation layouts.
• Good knowledge of heavy equipment safety procedures and construction-site hazards.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks.
• Knowledge of checking fluid levels, lubrication points, hydraulic systems, tracks, and other basic excavator components.
• Ability to identify and promptly report mechanical faults and equipment abnormalities.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with ground crews and supervisors.
• Strong awareness of underground utilities and other potential site hazards.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction-site environments.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, disciplined, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently for various construction and earthmoving activities.
• Maneuver excavator controls to dig trenches, excavate foundations, and grade surfaces according to project requirements.
• Load and unload dirt, sand, rocks, construction materials, and debris into dump trucks or designated storage areas.
• Clear construction sites and remove tree stumps, rocks, debris, and other obstructions.
• Level and prepare ground surfaces for building, roadwork, and other construction activities.
• Perform excavation and earthmoving operations according to approved site plans and instructions.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, site plans, excavation layouts, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with ground crews, spotters, supervisors, and other equipment operators during excavation activities.
• Exercise caution around underground utility lines, cables, pipes, and other site infrastructure.
• Conduct daily pre-operation and safety inspections of the excavator before use.
• Check engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, fuel, and other fluid levels regularly.
• Grease joints and perform routine lubrication and basic preventive maintenance.
• Inspect tracks, buckets, hydraulic systems, attachments, and other equipment components for signs of wear or damage.
• Report mechanical faults, equipment damage, leaks, or other operational problems to the supervisor immediately.
• Operate the excavator within its safe working capacity and according to manufacturer and site requirements.
• Maintain proper awareness of surrounding workers, vehicles, structures, and site hazards.
• Follow all company, construction-site, and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Keep the equipment and work area clean and properly maintained.
• Assist with other earthmoving and heavy equipment activities as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties related to excavator operation and site work as assigned.
