ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• At least a High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as an Electrician or in a similar electrical maintenance role.
• Completion of a diploma, vocational training program, or apprenticeship in electrical installation, maintenance, or a related field.
• Possession of a valid electrician’s license or relevant professional certification required for the position.
• Experience working with industrial and/or commercial electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using electrical tools and testing instruments, including wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, multimeters, and voltmeters.
• Good understanding of electrical installations, wiring systems, circuits, motors, and electrical components.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing electrical work in different site conditions, including working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
• Flexible and willing to work extended shifts, night shifts, weekends, or overtime as operational requirements demand.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in company buildings and facilities.
• Perform electrical installation and maintenance work on industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to determine installation and repair requirements.
• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical circuits, switches, outlets, lighting systems, panels, and other electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical faults, equipment malfunctions, and wiring problems using appropriate testing instruments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
• Test electrical circuits, connections, and equipment using multimeters, voltmeters, and other approved testing devices.
• Repair or replace damaged wiring, electrical components, and defective equipment as necessary.
• Ensure that electrical installations and repairs comply with applicable safety regulations, technical standards, and company procedures.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other electrical isolation and safety requirements before performing maintenance work.
• Maintain electrical tools and equipment in good working condition and report defective or unsafe equipment.
• Prepare maintenance records and report completed work, identified faults, and required repairs to supervisors.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other maintenance personnel to complete electrical work safely and efficiently.
• Perform other related electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance duties as assigned.
