Diesel Electrician Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience as a diesel mechanic with motor vehicle electrical, hydraulic, and genset systems.
• Candidates must hold a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Mechanical) or related fields.
  High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a diesel technology program or vocational training is preferred.
• Technical college education and professional Diesel Certification are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and generator sets.
• Experienced in diagnostics and troubleshooting using computerized testing equipment.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working independently or within a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines, gensets, control panels, and related components.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other mechanical systems for inspection and repair.
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical and electrical components.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
• Reassemble engines and components after repair and ensure proper functionality.
• Test and adjust repaired mechanical and electrical parts for safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and test vehicle and equipment systems with the assistance of computerized diagnostic tools.
• Maintain maintenance records, repair documentation, and inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, maintenance standards, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workshop areas.
